Description
The FD Series of dual plane in-process Flaw Detectors are designed to detect bumps, neckdowns, frays and inclusions as small as 0.0004" (10um) at line speeds up to 10,000 ft/min. (3050 m/min.). The ACCUTEST-FD-FD Flaw Detector provides continuous monitoring and instant detection with its infrared light source. Using a continuous beam and analog detector, rather than a discreet scanning method, any instantaneous change in diameter is detected on a moving product. This insures repeatable flaw detection on high speed lines. Sensitivity is adjustable through the digital push buttons in 0.1% increments. Setup is achieved by adjusting the sensitivity against a known defect sample pulled through the optical path.
